Three people were charged with participating in a alleged conspiracy, thwarted by the FBI, linked to Iran to assassinate President-elect Donald Trump and several Iranian dissidents on orders from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, as reported by the US Department of Justice,
Farhad Shakeri, Carlisle Rivera and Jonathan Loadholt are charged with murder for hire. The latter two were arrested, while Shakeri remains at large.
The men were allegedly hired by someone they met in prison who maintains “a network of criminal associates to provide agents to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard” to carry out assassinations in the United States, according to a court document related.
