The President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, announced this Monday, at the Forum Nueva Economía, the presentation of the appeal of unconstitutionality against the amnesty law, to defend the equality of the Spanish, legal security and the division of powers. Ayuso added that he would request the recusal of the President of the Constitutional Court, Cándido Conde Pumpido, for his lack of impartiality.

Ayuso explained that the Community of Madrid requested the recusal of Conde Pumpido, but also of the former minister Juan Carlos Campo and Laura Díez due to their “public and notorious ideological link with the PSOE”, the party that presented the text, “which” disqualifies it from pursuing its constitutionality.

Ayuso opens the political week, which will culminate in the debate on the state of the region in the Madrid Assembly, with a harsh message against Pedro Sánchez, whom she accuses of promoting a change in the territorial model to lead Spain towards a federal or confederal republic, without anyone having voted for him, and without having legislative power.

Ayuso also criticized the “ruthless” treatment that the Sánchez government is giving to Madrid and called it “unfair.” He defended that Madrid is the most dynamic and attractive region, and “there is no right to destroy all that, so much work, so much effort.” “I don’t know how some people think that attacking the Spanish capital will allow some to do better.”
