“We must count on him…”

There are seven races left in the MotoGP World Championship. ET Marc Marquez does not want to give up. His victory in San Marino places him fully in the fight against Jorge Martin and Pecco Bagnaia. AND Daniel Pedrosacompetition legend, clearly knows that he has to be reckoned with.

Here’s what he said in statements to ‘DAZN’: “We will also have to count on him for the championship…”.

“I think that It’s not that far in points.“He was much further away and in two races where he had good races he managed to reduce points. In any case, it is a special victory here at home for his team,” said Pedrosa after shining on the Marco Simoncelli circuit.

And he details what Marquez’s return was like with some falls on the circuit: “The riders were riding slowly, Pecco with great caution to try not to make a mistake with the slicks, so that he would not be taken by surprise as could have happened to Morbidelli. And Marc, with a little more ease, “He had the courage to enter the corner, overtake him and open up the gap.”

And even though Pecco lost the victory, he reduced his points to Jorge Martin (he is seven years old at the world championship): “These are two great results for Pecco despite Saturday and Sunday…”.

“I think Bagnaia had very high expectations for this GP. Without a doubt, win the sprint or win the race or both. It is clear that yesterday’s situation, in which Martín surprised him, and today the track conditions did not lead to victories,” Pedrosa said.
