The events took place today, Friday after 12:15 p.m., on Avenida de la Perla, in the Usera district of Madrid. At that point, a woman began swinging the broom out of the window of her house, causing dirt to fall onto another man who was passing below at the time. After an exchange of insults between the woman and the passer-by, the former took to the street and attacked the citizen who was complaining about her lack of hygiene. Police sources confirm that after seeing the fight between the two, the husband of the woman with the broom took to the street.

A National Police patrol immediately arrived on the scene and arrested the attacker, a 58-year-old man, and recovered the weapon. He is accused of attempted murder. As for the victim, the husband, he was stabilized on site by SAMUR-Civil Protection and rushed to the nearest hospital with a penetrating stab wound to the left side. His condition is extremely serious.
