Since 1 November 2019, when the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection was entrusted with the management of adoption, the Social Services Agency under the Ministry has adopted 622 children.
The APA was informed of this by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population.
It was reported that 310 of them are boys and 312 girls.
As in other areas of activity of the Ministry, administration and services in the field of adoption are carried out through electronic infrastructure.
The physical and mental development of children placed in foster care is monitored. Until the children reach the age of 18, monitoring is carried out quarterly in the first year of adoption and once a year in subsequent years. In the last period, around 6,000 such checks were carried out.
