“As for the bill on the criminal trial, which is planned to become a meeting today with the legal minister and Minister of Law, it was postponed until tomorrow on Tuesday, July 8, we started a meeting with the Minister of Law and Minister of the State Minister for the criminal process,” said Habirkhurhman in the parliamentary complex, Monday (7/7/2025).
Habirkhurkhman claimed that the discussion of the bill on the Criminal Code will be focused on the recovery justice of PASA, protect the rights of the suspect to strengthen the role of lawyers and will not be fiddling with the authority of each institution.
“We do not look, do not reduce, do not switch the authority between the institution, so it will still remain constant,” he concluded.
Earlier, the deputy speaker of the Indonesian parliament, Sufmi Dasko Ahmad, said that his party received a list of problems of inventory (DIM) of the criminal procedure bill from the government. He said that the discussion guaranteed that the commission of the III House of Representatives would be held.
