Trump assassination attempt: Iran turns attention to Israel

Iran’s Foreign Ministry has rejected US accusations that Tehran is involved in an alleged plot to assassinate Donald Trump. According to the official representative of the department, Esmail Baghai, Iran calls these accusations “completely unfounded.” The announcement comes after the US Department of Justice charged an alleged member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), who US authorities say was involved in a plot against Trump.

US prosecutors said an unnamed IRGC official assigned agent Farjad Shakeri last September to organize surveillance of Trump with the aim of subsequently eliminating him. According to the lawsuit filed in Manhattan federal court, the operation could have been suspended if the plan had not been implemented before the deadline, because Iran was counting on a possible electoral defeat by Trump, which would make its elimination easier.

The accusations come as part of increasingly tense relations between the United States and Iran, with Iran insisting it is not involved in such actions.

It’s worth noting that while Trump survived two assassination attempts during the campaign, authorities have not linked the incidents to Iran, despite long-standing tensions between the two countries.

Recall that “Cursor” wrote that Trump’s first appointee was Susie Wiles with the colorful nickname “Ice Maiden.” This woman previously worked with Ronald Reagan and played a key role in Trump’s return to the White House. Susie Wiles will be the first woman to hold this position.
