A 28-year-old Ukrainian man arranged a fictitious marriage with his 40-year-old mother-in-law, a disabled person of group I, in order to be able to leave the country, the State Border Service of Ukraine reported.
It should be noted that this was the man’s second attempt to leave Ukraine. The day before, his real wife left the country. The “newlyweds” then tried to cross the border, but were not allowed to pass.
According to the newlyweds, they went to Warsaw to discuss the woman’s vision. They defended their version to the end. But the arguments of the border guards proved more convincing.
“In addition, her intentions were exposed for the second time: the day before, the real wife crossed the border alone, followed by her relatives. Without success. Fate was tested a second time… at the next checkpoint, but even here expectations were not met,” the department’s telegram channel says.
