Where in the world do anti-Israel protests most frequently take place?

A report by Israel’s INSS research institute found that an average of 2,090 anti-Israel protests take place around the world each month, while there are only about 65 pro-Israel demonstrations.

In terms of the number of protests against Israel, Yemen took first place, with 5,500 protests recorded, followed by the United States with 3,500 protests, as well as Morocco, Turkey and Iran.

The United States also topped the list of countries for the number of pro-Israel demonstrations with 317, followed by France with 108 demonstrations, as well as Germany, Canada and Australia.

Earlier, Cursor reported that anti-Israel demonstrations were held on the grounds of Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Protesters waved Palestinian flags and chanted anti-Semitic slogans such as “Long live the intifada” and “Globalize the intifada.” These slogans referred to periods of Palestinian terror attacks against Israelis in the late 1980s, early 1990s, and early 2000s.

The protest was organized by the pro-Palestinian student group Harvard Out of Occupied Palestine. Not far from the demonstration, a pro-Israel stand was set up with the inscription “Hamas kills, kidnaps and rapes,” The Boston Globe reports.

Harvard has been one of the sites of anti-Israel and pro-Palestinian protests that have swept across American college campuses since the Gaza War, which erupted following the Oct. 7 Hamas attack in southern Israel. In June, a Harvard task force concluded that Israeli students on campus were experiencing “horrible” alienation.

Harvard has come under fire from Jewish circles after its president, Claudine Gay, resigned in January following congressional hearings in which she failed to take a clear position on whether “calls for genocide of Jews” violated the university’s code of conduct.

Cursor previously reported that Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz expressed support for anti-Israel protesters.
