Brian Lanza, senior adviser to newly elected US President Donald Trump, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky should forget about Crimea.
Oku.Az reports that he spoke about it in an interview with the BBC.
According to the advisor, Ukraine should focus on achieving peace instead of trying to return its territories.
“Zelensky says he will end this fighting, but peace will only come after the return of Crimea. We have bad news for him: Crimea is gone,” Lanza said.
He noted that the new US administration will focus on achieving peace in Ukraine. At the same time, Washington wants to see Zelensky’s version of a “real vision of peace.”
