A nine-year-old boy has died as a result of a drone attack in the Moscow region, the governor of the region, Andrei Vorobyov, announced this on September 10.
“During a night attack by drones, apartment buildings in Ramenskoye were damaged. In Sportivny Proezd, apartments in the area of the 11-12 floors are on fire. Firefighters are already extinguishing the fire. An ambulance and intensive care units are on duty in the building. Unfortunately, a 9-year-old child died.” — he wrote on his Telegram channel.
Vorobiev also reported that one person was injured after an unmanned aerial vehicle crashed into a house on Vysokovoltnaya Street. An apartment was also damaged.
Residents who were evacuated from the site were placed in temporary accommodation centres (TAP) at a school and a community centre. District authorities have set up a headquarters and the district chief is on site.
