The next group of Azerbaijani athletes who achieved high results at the XXXIII Summer Paralympic Games in Paris, the capital of France, returned to their homeland.
Oku.Az The plane carrying the athletes landed at Heydar Aliyev International Airport at 05:16.
At the airport they were welcomed by representatives of the National Paralympic Committee, members of the media, fans and families of the athletes.
Among the athletes who arrived are Paralympic champions Said Najafzade, Lamiya Valiyeva, Orkhan Aslanov, as well as silver and bronze medalists of the tournament: Raman Saley, Ilham Zakiyev and Vali Israfilov.
It should be noted that earlier the first group of Paralympic athletes returned to their homeland.
It is worth noting that the Azerbaijani national team finished 28th at the Paris 2024 Summer Paralympic Games, where 169 countries competed. Our team of 18 Paralympic athletes won 4 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze medals.
