Oku.Az According to reports, Azerbaijan national judoka team coach Imamverdi Mammadov said this at the welcome ceremony.
He evaluated his team’s performance at the European Youth Judo Championships held in Tallinn, Estonia.
I. Mammadov said that two judokas became champions in individual competitions:
“These are Konul Aliyeva (48 kg) and Fidan Alizadeh (47 kg). We achieved a high result in the team competitions and came first. In the decisive match against the French, the score was 3:3. All the suffering fell on us. In extra time, Fidan scored 8 minutes and 19, and fought for a second, thus winning for our team. Until now there has not been such a result in the mixed team of Azerbaijan.
