American actor James Earl Jones, who voiced Darth Vader in the Star Wars saga, has died. AP reports.

James Earl Jones was born on January 17, 1931 in Arkabutla, Mississippi. Over the course of his long career, he starred in nearly 30 films, including Doctor Strangelove, or How I Stopped Being Afraid and Loved the Bomb, Conan the Barbarian, Coming to America, Field of Dreams, The Search for Red October, Patriot Games, and Direct and Present Threat. However, he gained the most fame after portraying Darth Vader in Star Wars. He has appeared in many television projects and also voiced characters in computer games. He is a winner of the Tony, Emmy, and Golden Globe Awards, as well as the Screen Actors Guild Award.
In 2012, James Earl Jones received an honorary Oscar for his contributions to cinema.
