The President of Castile-La Mancha, Emiliano Garcia-Pagespoke about the new financing system that the PSC and the ERC are considering introducing in Catalonia, his appeal for unconstitutionality against the amnesty law or the recent Federal Committee of the PSOE, which, he admits, “was strong in dialectical terms”.
In an interview with ‘Espejo Público’, García-Page admitted that he had not received any call from Ferraz asking him not to file the appeal with the Constitutional Court, showing himself to be “convinced” that the amnesty law is unconstitutional. “It seems to me that it is important to demand a serious, dignified and respectful policy. I like to comply with it, if it harms the Region and the constitutional system… I don’t like to sit around doing nothing“, he believes.
For García-Page, “everything that breaks the constitutional system“It provides a “protection” that the autonomous communities can resort to, because it “affects” them. “It must not affect competition. It is an upheaval of the constitutional system,” insists the regional president.
