Kyrgyz President accepts credential of new Russian ambassador

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has accepted the credential of the new Russian ambassador to the Republic, Sergei Vakunov, according to the press service of the Kyrgyz leader.

“You are a great friend of Kyrgyzstan and have been very familiar with our country and people. I am therefore very pleased to welcome you in your new role.” — Japarov said, addressing the Russian diplomat.

He noted that relations between Kyrgyzstan and Russia are at the highest level in the entire common history of the two peoples. There is a significant intensification of political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the countries.

Vakunov, in turn, thanked Japarov for his position in all areas of cooperation with Russia and said that he intends to make every effort to deepen the interaction between the two countries.
