The Valencian President Carlos Mazon sets out the arguments why he considers it not viable to currently negotiate a write-off of Valencia’s debt as a counterpart to the single model that the government of Pedro Sánchez is proposing for Catalonia after reaching an agreement with ERC. According to Mazón, an alleged offer to write off part of the debt “is not comparable to the temporary levelling fund” intended to remedy Valencia’s underfinancing.
The Valencian president assured that there was no serious offer from the government, but only leaks to the media about the possibility of increasing this offer. debt relief for some autonomies, sometimes, and others for the whole.

He also criticized the fact that the solidarity criterion excludes the granting of funds to other Autonomous Communities that, with their own powers, can apply their own taxation and reduce certain taxes. “It seems shameful to me that the Socialist Party accuses people by saying: why does Mazón want funding if what he then does is lower taxes for the rich,” he commented.
The Valencian president defended that Valencia is the community that benefits from the greatest tax relief for low and medium incomes. In this sense, he announced thatwill introduce new deductions for low and middle incomes from personal income taxalthough, when asked about them, he assured that he could not reveal them because they were under study.
As for the tourismThe president of the Generalitat Valenciana assured that his intention “is not to limit, but to order”, in accordance with the new decree on tourist accommodation. “We are a community that can receive tourists, that can grow sustainably”, he added, to ensure that they consider that “it is each municipality that must turn up or down the music” depending on its own situation.
Mazón summarized financing, water, immigration and housing as the great issues of autonomy, in addition to energy sovereignty. In the case of immigration, he assured that ““The benefactor with immigration does not work”to which he added that “and neither does frontal rejection.”
