As emergency aid, the EU will provide Ukraine with an additional 250 MW of winter flow capacity. This agreement was announced by the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, German Galushchenko.
Thus, Kyiv will have the possibility to additionally import up to 2.1 GW.
“From December 1, the maximum capacity to import electricity from EU countries will increase from the current 1.7 GW to 2.1 GW. “This will increase the stability of the Ukrainian energy system.” — confirmed on the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
The department called this measure forced as a result of the damage to the Kanevskaya hydroelectric power station, the Dnieper hydroelectric power station, the Zmievskaya thermal power plant and the destruction of the Trypillya thermal power plant.
