The Valencian Generalitat continues with its battery of measures to attract large investments and accelerate the establishment of companies in its territory. The president himself, Carlos Mazón, announced today the creation of Valencian Investment Office to help interested companies and speed up their procedures.
As Mazón explained during an informative breakfast of the Europe Mediterranean Forum TribuneOrganized by the New Economy Forum of Valencia, this agency will be responsible for attracting companies, but also for managing the investments that will be made before the Administration.
Thus, the office “will classify them as ordinary or strategic,” said Mazón, who explained that in the case of the latter project manager or responsible for them and the regional administration “will be urgent and a priority.”
Mazón says the Valencian Community has attracted 9 billion euros of investments in areas such as green energy, technology or biomedicine with the generation of 7,000 direct and indirect jobs since his arrival at the Generalitat. In addition, the case of L has highlightedPowerCo Battery Gigafactory as a “major investment” that “meets or even improves the deadlines” anticipated by the initial forecasts.
Progress Decree
Mazón included this announcement in the Consell’s measures to facilitate business activity and simplify bureaucracy. As detailed, his executive is finalizing a decree with the tools to facilitate the arrival and development of investments, which will “streamline” and “simplify” administrative procedures and promote “coordination between all agents involved.”
The Valencian leader said he would be “personally” involved in this “kind of executive consortium” in which the Generalitat’s director general of strategic projects, José Díez, would play an important role.
