Mazón promotes the Valencian Investment Office to attract large strategic projects

The President of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, announced the creation of the new Valencian Investment Office to attract large strategic projects to the region and announced that it was working to simplify and streamline administrative procedures to facilitate the arrival of these important investments.

This is how the Alicante leader put it during his speech at an informative breakfast at the Forum Europe Tribuna Mediterránea this Tuesday at the Hotel Las Arenas in Valencia, where he explained that this new entity could be established. any local, national or foreign company interested in settling in the Valencian Community.

Mazón confirmed that the Generalitat will make available to future interested parties “knowledge and help” of its human team for the evaluation, qualification, support and “special” management of companies. Thus, the new office will have two areas of action: ordinary and strategic investments.

The latter will have a project manager who will be dedicated “exclusively” to management and the processes will be “urgent and priority” for the Generalitat and its instrumental public sector. In this regard, he said that the autonomous government is already finalizing a decree with tools to facilitate the arrival and development of investments, which will “accelerate” and “simplify” administrative procedures and promote “coordination between all agents involved”.

Mazón stressed that I will get involved “personally” in this “sort of executive consortium” in which the general director of strategic projects of the Generalitat, Jose Diezwill have a “very important executive force”. In this context, he affirmed that the Valencian Community has managed to attract “in less than 11 months” a total of 9 billion euros of investments in areas such as green energy, technology or biomedicine with the generation of 7,000 direct and indirect jobs.

At the same time, he highlighted the case of PowerCo Battery Gigafactorya “great investment” in which the Valencian Government, he defended, “is respecting even improving the deadlines” compared to the initial forecasts. “It is not about self-glorification,” Mazón insisted.
