Come to the polls – EADaily, September 10, 2024 – Politics News, Belarus News

If the Belarusian opposition wants to prove itself right, it must come and fight in the presidential elections. This was announced by Alexander Lukashenko today, September 10, at a meeting on current domestic political issues and preparation of political campaigns.

“I just want to give you advice, as always: if you want to change the country and take part in the presidential elections, prove that you are right or something, you have to come and fight in the presidential elections. No streets, no machine guns, no machine guns and no sanctions. People have to come and explain why you “care so much” about Belarus and why you are fighting against it. Why are you planning an armed invasion of the territory of Belarus?” – said.

The Belarusian leader noted that there are many similar events in the country and it is necessary to tell people about them.

“It tells what they are planning there and gives concrete data. And that is why we usually put everything in a pile like this and sit on the “gold”, consuming it. We need to show it, so that people know where we stand. We have a lot of materials: “We will impose sanctions (lahushki, latushki and others), drown, “die”. We have everything. Therefore, it will be necessary to explain to the Belarusians why they are developing such a policy on the eve of the presidential elections.” – Lukashenko noted

The President of Belarus also drew attention to the fact that oppositionists abroad constantly ask for money from various structures for their activities and are ready to allocate it, but only for specific purposes.

“The State Department, the Poles, others, in the European Union. The question for them is: “Why?” — We will destroy Belarus in the media. They are told: “You have already been screwed. There will be no money for this, only for armed actions on the territory of Belarus… Well, I already said: we are waiting. You don’t even have to tell us where you come from and where. We know it well.” – the Belarusian leader said.

At the same time, he stressed that those who advocate this will have to appear before the people of Belarus and explain their case.

“If you want people to support you at least in some way, but understand what you want,” – he emphasized.

Let us recall that the next presidential elections in Belarus are scheduled for 2025. Lukashenko’s opponents are calling for a boycott.
