Trains of CJSC “Azerbaijan Demir Yolari” (ADY) running on suburban routes will operate with an updated timetable from September 16 to meet passenger demand in connection with the start of the new school year.

According to the new schedule, the number of round-trip flights on the Baku-Khirdalan-Sumgayit route has increased from 20 to 24, and on the Baku-Pirshagi-Sumgayit route from 36 to 42.
According to the updated schedule, 13 flights will be organized from Baku and 11 from Sumgait on the Baku-Khirdalan-Sumgait route, 20 flights from Baku and 22 from Sumgait on the Baku-Pirshagi-Sumgait route.
ADY is improving the infrastructure in the Pirshagi-Sumgait area to enhance the quality of passenger transport services. As a result of the partial completion of the repair works, 4 traditional morning flights, long-awaited by passengers on the Baku-Pirshagi-Sumgait line, have been restored, and 2 new flights, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, have been added.
The updated timetable of the Baku-Khirdalan-Sumgayit route includes 3 new evening flights in the directions of Baku-Khirdalan, Baku-Sumgayit and Khirdalan-Baku, and 1 new morning flight in the direction of Sumgayit-Baku.
ADY aims to adapt the passenger transport service to the needs of travellers and make the experience of travelling by rail more comfortable and safer with the changes made to the schedules.
Following the completion of ongoing repair and improvement works in the Pirshagi-Sumgayit area by the end of this year, the traffic schedule on the Baku-Pirshagi-Sumgayit line will be reviewed and additions and changes will be considered in accordance with passenger demand.
