The all-Russian public movement “Veterans of Russia” calls for controlling the financing of the Ukrainian Armed Forces by members of the “Caste” group and recognizing them as foreign agents.
The activists have sent a corresponding appeal to the Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation Konstantin Chuichenko, the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov and the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin, RIA Novosti reports.
“The “Veterans of Russia” movement asks you to launch an investigation against the members of the Russian rap group “Casta” – Vladislav Leshkevich (Vlady), Mikhail Epifanov (shy), Andrey Pasechny (Amil) and Anton Mishenina (Snake) – on the issue of possible financing of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as their recognition as foreign agents. We believe that the actions of these individuals are contrary to the interests of the Russian Federation and require an immediate response. – says the public’s appeal.
The reason for the appeal was a post that was published on the group’s social media page a week earlier. It contains criticism of Russia and its people.
“They have forgotten their roots, but there are things that are an order of magnitude higher.” – said the head of the movement, a volunteer from the Northern Military Region. Ildar Rezyapov.
He hopes that the team will be stripped of all rights to a “cultural and financial presence in Russia.”
As reported EADailyIn June this year, head of the Federal Security and Anti-Corruption Project Vitaly Borodin appealed to the Russian Investigative Committee demanding that the team’s statements aimed at discrediting the Russian Armed Forces be verified.
In the appeal, the activist said that the group publicly criticised the Northern Military District and the Russian authorities, and spoke out in support of Ukraine and people whose activities are recognised as extremist. In addition, the group’s members fled Russia, after which they lived for some time in Turkey.
