Cáceres will reduce the IBI by 0.3% in 2025 and maintain the bonus of up to 250 euros for large families

The Economic Commission of the City Council of Cáceres approved this Tuesday the modification of the tax ordinance regulating the Real Estate Tax (IBI), with votes in favor of the Popular Party and Vox, while the PSOE and Unidas Podemos voted against. The reduction, of 0.3%, is higher than that initially proposed and will come into force next year.

This amendment represents a reduction in the IBI for properties of an urban and rural nature, for large families and for buildings in which solar energy use systems are installed. In addition, it implies a administrative simplification of procedures to facilitate requests from beneficiaries.

The Councilor for Economy, Ángel Orgaz, expressed his satisfaction at continuing to advance in the processing of a measure that will imply compliance with the tax reduction initiated by the mayor, Rafael Mateos. In addition, “This reduction is even more significant than that initially proposed by the government team”recalled the mayor.

Thus, it is proposed for the tax on urban real estate a reduction in the general tax rate from the current 0.75% to 0.72%while for the rustic productsthe reduction will be from the current 0.90% to 0.87%.

Up to 250 euros for large families

It expands the IBI Bonus corresponding to the habitual residence, taxable persons who, on the date of accumulation of the tax, have the status of holders of big familyprovided that at least the parents who appear as a large family are registered at the domicile subject to the tax.

For the application of this bonus, the number of children who make up the family unit and the fact that any member of the family unit has the status of a disabled person to a degree equal to or greater than 33%, when the corresponding recognition has been received by the competent official bodies.

The bonus will be linear at the rate of 150 euros for large families with 3 children or less; 250 euros for large families with more than 3 children, or those in which a member of the family unit has the status of a disabled person in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph. This bonus cannot exceed 90% of the total amount of the tax.

Urban properties with solar energy systems installed will also be entitled to a bonus on the entire quota. The bonus percentage will be 50% of the total amountboth in the case of installations carried out in properties for residential use and in properties for non-residential use. The total amount subsidised may not exceed, for each year, 220 euros.

Apartments and premises located in buildings subject to the horizontal property regime, which carry out a shared self-consumption installation to supply energy to all or part of them, can benefit from a bonus on the full tax rate of 50%, both in the case of installations carried out in buildings used for residential purposes as well as in buildings used for purposes other than residential purposes. The total amount subsidized cannot exceed, for each year, 100 euros.
