Military commissioner arrested for bribery was sentenced to 8.5 years in prison

Rahim Aghayev, former head of the Khachmaz district branch of the State Service for Military Mobilization and Service, accused of accepting bribes, was sentenced.

According to information obtained by “Report”, he was sentenced to 8 years and 6 months in prison at the Baku Military Court, presided over by Judge Rafig Abbasov.

It should be noted that the state prosecutor requested that the former boss be sentenced to 9 years and 6 months in prison.

It should be noted that R. Agayev was arrested by the Chief Anti-Corruption Department of the Prosecutor General. He was charged with Articles 311.3.3 (repeated large-scale bribery) and 308.2 (abuse of official powers) of the Criminal Code, and a pre-trial detention measure was chosen.
