The delegation of Paralympic athletes has just arrived in Spain and their first stop was the Iberia headquarters in Madrid, where the athletes were welcomed with a standing ovation from all the company’s workers and the media present there.
Thus, the Paralympic athletes end this journey which has been rich in experiences and also medals. During these Olympic Games, the Spanish Paralympic team achieved 7 gold, 11 silver and 22 bronze.
Thus, the athletes of the Iberia Talento Team gave their best in Paris and all returned with the satisfaction of a job well done.
There will be a collaboration for Los Angeles
The Paralympic Games have just ended, but many of their athletes have already set their goals for the next event in Los Angeles.
Concretely, Iberia has already announced that collaboration is maintained with the Paralympic Committee for the upcoming games in Los Angeles. Thus, during this call, the Paralympic team will also be able to count on the support of Iberia, in addition to traveling with this company.
“Congratulations on the 40 medals overweight that you took with the flight from Paris; but above all for your commitment, your example and your efforts,” said Juan Cierco, corporate director of Iberia, during this event welcoming the athletes. “You have our commitment to continue being involved in the project before the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games,” he said.
Swimmers also took part in the event. Sarai Gascón and Miguel Angel Navarro.
Sarai Gascón, who competed in Paris in the 100 freestyle S9 and won a gold medal in swimming, stressed that: “These were my fifth Paralympic Games, but each one has been unique. Reliving some of the matches with all the support of the sponsors has been an unforgettable experience. I am very happy to have lived the experience with my colleagues. We are very demanding of ourselves and we only want sporting results, but we are very lucky to live this experience. I thank “Iberia supports the Paralympic team”.
While for Miguel Angel NavarroIt was his first Olympic Games and, in addition, he was able to travel accompanied by his mother who was part of the crew on these very special trips. “I was able to live a unique experience with Iberia, it was something I did not expect. It was a great surprise to meet my mother on the flight. My whole family knew except me. Iberia lived many of our moments,” explained Navarro.
