Five-year-old Mahir Selimzade suffers from liver failure.
Oku.AzMahir’s mother, Hijran Mammadova, who contacted Mahir, stressed that they currently live in Beylagan and cannot afford treatment.
He noted that although Mahir was treated in Baku for a while, they later returned to the region due to financial difficulties:
“With the help of helpful people, my son received treatment several times. Then he was able to laugh, run and play like his peers. Then we couldn’t get him the medicine he needed and Mahir’s condition got worse day by day. His nose often bleeds. He looks at the children playing in the yard as he stands at the window, crying. He didn’t wet his bottom when he received the treatment. Mahir is very shy about it, but he doesn’t understand. We need manats who have the means to support us.”
