Israeli missile defense system deployed in Germany

The Arrow 3 missile defense system will be deployed in Germany in 2025. Military representatives of both countries held two-day talks at the base of the Israeli company Israel Aerospace Industries, where they discussed the details of joint work.

This was reported by the Israeli Ministry of Defense.

“The Israeli and German Defense Ministries have begun coordinating the deployment of the Arrow 3 system in Germany in 2025,” the official statement said.

The deal to sell the Arrow 3 system to Germany was closed and approved by the United States last year; The contract amount was 3.5 billion dollars. This is the largest defense deal for an Israeli company.

Arrow 3 is one of the world’s most advanced technologies for intercepting ballistic missiles in outer space, even beyond the atmosphere. This system was first used in combat conditions in October 2023 after Hamas attacked Israel.

Arrow 3 is planned to be part of the German-led Sky Shield European defense initiative in 2025. The project will involve 19 countries and aims to create a structure to intercept missiles at different altitudes and for different types of threats. In this way, Europe strengthens its security.

Recall that Cursor wrote that the alarm in Gush Dan on Saturday was caused by an Israeli plane that flew without the necessary permits and was almost shot down by the IDF. Alexey Zheleznov reported on the details of the incident.

An Israeli civilian plane ended up in the air without authorization, leading the IDF to misidentify it as a hostile object. The Israeli Air Force was prepared for an interception and repeatedly attempted to contact the crew, but to no avail.

The dangerous situation was resolved when the interceptors’ cameras were able to visually identify the plane and determine that it was an Israeli civilian vehicle, after which plans for the interception were cancelled.

“Cursor” also reported that the city of Haifa was under threat of attack by drones launched by terrorist groups. At the moment there is no information on victims or damage.
