Baku TV’s guests were Azerbaijani wrestlers Ulvu Ganizadeh and Nihat Mammadli, who won the World Wrestling Championship held in Tirana, the capital of Albania.
Speaking about his path to victory at the World Championship, Ulvu Ganizadeh said he saw the fruits of his years of suffering.
“The main thing is the joy of my family. The world championship is such that a person becomes elated. But the joy in the eyes of my family, which justifies the trust of people at home in me, is something completely different, for me “It’s a bigger success than the world championship,” he said.
Ulvü Ganizadeh noted that the preparation process was very difficult:
“As I got sick a week before the competition, I had a high fever for days. I was training with a fever, the competition was close and I didn’t want to lose the coaches’ trust in me. I fought like the last mother, and fortunately I saw the result.”
Nihat Mammadli, who became world champion among adults for the first time, said it was a very proud feeling:
“I have suffered, I have seen difficulties. All winning athletes have seen difficulties and grew up in poor families. We have no other way out. We know that we can only build a good life for ourselves. Therefore, we suffered, and God gave us victories in return ” .
Nihat Mammadli also spoke about her future goals:
“My future goal is to increase the number of my championships. I want to become a double, triple world and European champion. This remains my goal. My main goal is to return to 60 kilograms and participate in the 2028 Olympic Games.”
