Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has declared that Hamas, the radical Palestinian group, no longer exists as a military force.

According to the minister, after more than 11 months of fierce fighting, Israel has managed to seriously undermine Hamas’ military potential.
“Hamas no longer exists as a military entity. While we continue to fight the terrorists and pursue their leadership, the organization has already moved to guerrilla warfare tactics,” Gallant stressed.
He also called on the international community not to ease pressure on Hamas and to support Israel’s efforts to achieve a ceasefire.
“We need an agreement that guarantees the cessation of hostilities and the return of the hostages held by Hamas within at least six weeks,” the minister said.
