Blinken reportedly said that further sanctions, including measures against Iran Air, would be announced on Tuesday. “We warned Tehran openly and secretly that this step would be a dangerous escalation,” Blinken stressed. He added that Russia has already purchased these missiles. According to the politician, Moscow will use them within a few weeks.
Iranian officials have denied supplying weapons to Russia this week. But these powerful weapons are bolstering Moscow’s arsenal at a turning point in Moscow’s war with Ukraine, as kyiv advances deep into Russia but faces setbacks in the east.
