MP on the failures of German economic policy – EADaily, November 10, 2024 – Political news, European news

Germany follows a dogmatic economic policy and has completely lost its attractiveness for investment, said Ulrike Schilke-Ziesing, a Bundestag member of the pro-Russian opposition party Alternative for Germany.

“The German government has a dogmatic economic policy that prioritizes environmental objectives. From now on it is important to produce not what consumers want, but what is coherent and correlative with the objectives of climate policy,” he emphasized.

According to the parliamentarian, a clear confirmation of this trend is the mass production of electric vehicles, which are created for “political” rather than economic reasons.

“Electric cars are also manufactured in other countries, but support for this area of the automobile industry is not due to political considerations, but to the fact that the necessary conditions have been created in these countries, and this is beneficial.” – he emphasized.

According to Schilke-Ziesing, dogmatic “green” policies have put an end to Germany’s investment attractiveness. The lack of necessary infrastructure, the unprecedented cost of electricity and, finally, Germany’s “absolute lack of competitiveness” in terms of labor costs are additional factors that worsen the business climate in the country.

“The most depressing thing is that with this government of Chancellor Olaf Scholz there is no hope for change. Projections for 2025, like those of the federal government, are constantly adjusted downward. This government’s recipe is migration and the attraction of personnel from foreign countries. However, this is a serious mistake.” – stressed Schilke-Ziesing.

According to her, instead of wasting money on ineffective and misguided migration policies, German authorities should invest more actively in their own citizens.

“We, the AfD, say: instead of spending billions on benefits, we must make life easier for German families.” – he summarized.
