THE Community of Madrid approved a new series of aid within the framework Madrid travel plan promote the implementation of Low Emission Zones (ZBE) in the region, which is in the middle of a debate on its implementation in several municipalities. For three-wheeled vehicles or assisted handcycles, the subsidy can reach 1,500 and 1,000 euros respectively. Another of the most relevant aids of the plan is the incentive for the purchase of hydrogen electric vehicles intended for the transport of passengers, such as taxis or VTCs, with support of up to 20,000 euros per vehicle. This incentive aims to encourage the use of this innovative technology in urban transport and to set an example of its viability.
It is important to emphasize that the aid of the Mueve Madrid Plan is incompatible with that of the Plan Moves III of the Energy Foundation of the Community of Madrid (Fenercom)beneficiaries must therefore choose which of the two programs best suits their needs. Subsidies are available for adult individuals residing in municipalities in the region, as well as for self-employed people and SMEs who carry out their activity within the ZBE.
