The 15th World Climate Summit, the largest event for business and the public sector, will be held in Baku on November 17, parallel to the COP conferences.
“Informe” reports that this forum serves as a platform for the exchange of best practices in important sectors that are crucial for decarbonization efforts in energy, transportation, construction, industry, finance and nature.
The current summit aims to significantly strengthen public-private partnerships to achieve the energy transition goals by 2030, as well as implement the policies, innovations and investments necessary to create a zero-emissions and environmentally positive world by 2050.
Increasing financial commitment from both the public and private sectors is critical to accelerating progress.
The summit is expected to bring together more than 2,000 participants from more than 90 countries, including heads of state, leaders of the largest companies, experts and activists, both in person and online.
The main theme of the summit will be the acceleration of actions to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement and prevent the catastrophic consequences of climate change.
