Houthis launched missile at Israel: army reported details

Early Monday morning, Yemen’s Houthis launched a ballistic missile toward Israel.

An air raid siren sounded in southern Judea and the Shfela area, including the city of Beit Shemesh, warning citizens of the danger. The IDF said the missile was fired “from the east,” which usually means attacks from Iraq by Iranian-backed militias.

However, the IDF press service soon clarified that the missile was launched by the Yemeni Houthis and not Iraqi militants.

The IDF managed to intercept and destroy the ballistic missile even before it approached the Israeli border. This successful interception averted a threat to civilian assets and prevented potential destruction and casualties.

About two hours before the missile launch, the Houthis reported bombing by US and British air forces of the Amran and Saada areas in territory they control in Yemen.

Additionally, overnight, the Air Force successfully intercepted four unmanned aerial vehicles flying towards the country. Two of them were destroyed before even approaching the border.

According to IDF officials, these drones also came from “the east,” probably from Iraq, where pro-Iran groups are active.

Previously, Cursor wrote that the IDF eliminated a key Islamic Jihad figure.

This terrorist was responsible for planning and executing attacks by Islamic Jihad militants.

“Cursor” also wrote that Hezbollah has changed its tactics against the IDF in Lebanon.

Despite the IDF’s successes in Lebanon, Hezbollah still poses a threat to Israel.
