China intends to promote further consolidation of the BRICS member countries, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said at a meeting of senior representatives of the BRICS countries responsible for security issues, TASS reports.
This, he said, is necessary to ensure the effective holding of the organisation’s next summit in Kazan in October.
“BRICS is our priority in our foreign policy. We support the Russian presidency. And we will contribute to further consolidation of the BRICS countries to ensure the effective holding of the summit of the leaders of the BRICS countries.” – said Wang Yi.
The BRICS summit will take place from 22 to 24 October.
