Trump’s first step is Ukraine: the media on the new president’s next decisions

After winning the elections, Donald Trump stated that from the first day of his stay in the White House he intends to undertake large-scale reforms and changes in key areas. AP reports this.

Among his priority steps is the initiation of mass deportations of immigrants, the revocation of the Biden administration’s educational reforms, important changes in the federal bureaucracy with the dismissal of those employees he considers disloyal, as well as the pardon of troublemakers in the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Trump has also repeatedly claimed that he can quickly end the war between Russia and Ukraine, resolving, in his words, the crisis in one day. However, Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, was skeptical of such a promise and noted that the Ukrainian crisis cannot be resolved in one day.

Trump’s team confirmed its intention to participate in a peaceful resolution of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Trump spokeswoman Leavitt said the new president plans to bring the parties to the negotiating table to end the war. In the past, Trump has criticized the Biden administration for its financial aid to Ukraine and suggested meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian leader Vladimir Putin to reach a peace deal.
