Even if medicine develops, it does not go out of fashion: how can we trust saboteurs and scavengers?

In Azerbaijan, especially in the regions, many people turn to chiropractors for problems with body parts, fractures and sprains. The reason why it still works in the regions is the lack of medical centers in all villages, i.e. lack of access to hospitals, as well as the strong belief in folk medicine. But this option is not always useful. In addition to those who later turn to the doctor with certain complications, there are also those who remain crippled for life.

Another fracture treatment was carried out in Bilasuvar district, which resulted in an unfortunate incident. On September 9, the minor died while massaging a 2-year-old baby, Nargiz Imanova.

But why do people choose to turn to fracture healers in the age of medical science? To what extent can people known as scavengers be trusted? In general, is there any confirmation of this in medicine?

Dr. Rasif Bagirov, who shared his opinion on the issue with Bizim.Media, did not think it was right for those without medical education to participate in these activities:

“Scavengers and scavengers play a certain role in the life of the Azerbaijani people today. That is, a certain part of the population uses their services. But the rule is that it is not correct to apply to people who are not qualified medical personnel with regard to a certain medical procedure. The rule is that medicine is only people specialized in their specialty can do these things.”

The doctor believes that even if the fractured person copes with a certain task, he is unable to solve the following problem:

“It’s just that there have been people in society since time immemorial who have been doing these things and have some experience. But no matter how much experience they have, they will never give you the knowledge that a doctor gives you. We can always do certain things, but when a problem arises, they are the ones who can determine what is causing it. That’s why it’s important for people to turn to qualified doctors and medical workers.”
