Local authorities said that forest fires that violated planes and trains to Marseille, the second largest city in France has decreased in intensity. In the past few days, a number of fires have occurred in the southern region of France, which was distributed by the wind and caused by dry vegetation, including what happened on Tuesday (7/7/2025) north of the port of Marseille. Earlier, a quick forest fire expanded to achieve marginal marks of Marseille, as a result of which at least 110 people were injured, and 400 inhabitants were forced to evacuate. The French Minister of Internal Affairs, Bruno Reyillo said that about 800 firefighters were sent to make efforts to combat fire. Meanwhile, the mayor of Marseille Benois Payan called the shutdown situation as a war against fire, which quickly spread from strong winds, thick vegetation and steep hilly terrain.
