The judge in charge of the investigation into the “Koldo case” at the National Court, Ismael Moreno, has refused to allow the current Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente, to testify in this case, legal sources have informed elDiario.es. The magistrate thus rejects the request of one of the popular accusers, who had requested her appearance after the publication of the internal audit of her department that highlighted the existence of “irregularities” in the allocation of masks worth one million dollars and pointed to the management of the team of the former minister, José Luis Ábalos.
On the other hand, the judge rejected Ábalos’ request to appear as a victim in this case. Last week, the now deputy of the Mixed Group after his expulsion from the PSOE, asked to appear as injured and provided an expert with whom he tried to refute the audit carried out on the orders of Puente.
In the letter addressed to the court, the former minister stated that, although the investigator did not ask him for a “request for information” and he was not summoned “under any conditions”, “information and news continue to emerge that affect him personally and directly. The prosecution has also filed, at the request of the former minister, a complaint for the alleged leaks of the case.
