In total, seven businessmen from the Region of Murcia have acknowledged that They paid in exchange for having sex with minors adult but will avoid going to prison after agreeing with the prosecution on a five-month prison sentence for each of the crimes committed.
Similarly, the case includes six other defendants who belonged to the recruitment and prostitution network minors who have also agreed with the prosecution and who, as expected, will not go to prison either.
Specifically, None of the 13 accused should go to prison because the calculation of the penalties agreed by each of them does not exceed two years in prison, provided that they satisfy the payment of the penalty under civil liability. However, the judge will call a new session to see whether or not to suspend the penalties, as Europa Press has learned.
It should be noted that the trial was scheduled to begin this Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in room 001 of the Third Section of the Provincial Court, but finally an agreement was reached between the defendant’s defense and the prosecution.
How the events happened
The events that took place took place ten years ago. In fact, it was in 2015 that the National Police considered this network dismantled. recruited young people between 14 and 17 years old from schools and nightclubs from the Region of Murcia, or through internet advertisements for them to prostitute themselves in hostesses’ apartments and at home.
In the first operation, 29 people were arrestedAmong them were the three senior officials of the organization and 15 applicants for sexual services who specifically requested minors.
The network operated in Murcia, its surrounding neighborhoods and municipalities such as Lorquí. The profile of the clients, for its part, was “very varied”, with ages from 40 to 80 years oldand they paid between 80 and 200 euros for each performance. Part of this sum went to the victims and another to the organizers, as was revealed when the operation was announced.
The investigation began in August 2014, when the National Police became aware of the incident. disappearance of a minorHer parents said their daughter had maintained a high standard of living for a long time, but they did not know of any paid work for her, so police suspected she might be involved in prostitution.
After carrying out numerous investigations, the National Police managed to locate the minor in an apartment in the capital of Murcia, where other girls and a couple who owned the house also resided. The agents were also able to verify that in said house, the minor and other young women, some also minors, were sexually exploited by the owners of the property.
Pact with the prosecution
The prosecution accused three women who acted as “madams” or “moms,” that is, those in charge of capturing minors at the doors of nightclubs and schools. Also among the accused were two men involved in the transfers and a fourth woman who served as a link between the “moms” and the minors.
For each of the leaders of the prostitution network, the prosecution requested seven years in prison for each of the minors captured. In the case of the clients, the prosecution requested four years in prison for each of the crimes. However, after the agreement reached between the clients’ defense and the prosecution, the sentence was reduced to five months prison for each of the crimes and will not have to go to prison.
