The Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente, confirmed that high-speed trains between Madrid and Valencia will resume circulation on Thursday, November 14, as reported by the social network X.
It is also reported that the public operator Renfe has resumed the sale of seats on its trains from this Monday at 2:00 p.m. “On that day, the usual service will resume normally,” he said.
After the initial impact of DANA, Puente has already announced that the infrastructure recovery works will last two or three weeks, to recover the tracks and carry out the cleaning of the tunnels in the affected area, where high-speed trains run.
On the other hand, it will take longer to restore the service of Cercanías trains, especially lines C1 and C2, where the infrastructure suffered greater damage.
In the case of high speed, during these two weeks, for example, the infrastructure of the Chiva tunnel was recovered, where the railway platform was practically destroyed.
