Russia calls for the early restoration of the trilateral group with Armenia and Azerbaijan for the future socio-economic development of the entire region.
Oku.Az TASS reports that this was stated at a briefing by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
“Our consistent position is that the issue of opening transport communications in the region could have been resolved long ago in the tripartite working group co-chaired by Deputy Prime Ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia Alexey Overchuk, Shahin Mustafayev and their Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan. Full interaction will soon be established in the tripartite working group. The restoration will not only directly contribute to the restoration of the transport and communication system of the South Caucasus, but will also ensure the future socio-economic development of the country and the entire region,” the diplomat noted.
