A review of the Ministry of Defence by Britain’s National Audit Office has found that a quarter of the country’s army’s training fleet was being used for the Interflex basic training programme for Ukrainian recruits, Sky News reported with reference to (NAO).
It should be noted that as a result, applications from British Army units were rejected eight times more last year than in 2019.
The Ministry of Defence acknowledged that Interflex was limiting the British Army’s ability to train its own soldiers, the report said.
“As the Ministry of Defence plans its future support to Ukraine, it must continue to balance the UK’s strategic interests with maintaining its own military capabilities.
