The COP29 UN Climate Change Conference has begun its work in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. “The holding of COP29 in Baku will create a strategic opportunity for Azerbaijan and will contribute to the promotion and strengthening of the country’s image in the international world. This meeting will provide an opportunity to demonstrate Azerbaijan’s determination in the field of climate change and sustainable development. This will help garner global support for “green energy” projects, Sh.Ayrim noted.
Ayrym emphasized that COP29 will strengthen Baku’s position internationally and that Azerbaijan can be an exemplary country in the transition to a green economy:
“Azerbaijan’s holding of important international meetings in recent years has increased the country’s diplomatic prestige and Baku has shown itself as a regional leader. COP29 will continue this success and strengthen Azerbaijan’s leadership in the field of energy transformation and environmental responsibility,” said the Turkish deputy.
