Famous Belarusian bodybuilder Ilya “Golem” Yefimchuk has died at the age of 36.
Oku.Az reports that his wife Anna reported about this on “Instagram”.
“Friends, with incredible pain in my heart, I have to inform you that Ilya’s heart stopped at home on the morning of September 6 and I was with him,” the athlete’s wife said.
According to reports, the athlete’s heart stopped while he was at home. According to Ilya’s wife, the woman massaged his heart while the ambulance was on the way. Later, the bodybuilder was taken by helicopter to the clinic. But he died of brain death.
Standing at 185 centimeters tall, Yefimchuk weighed 158 kilograms and was known to squat 272 kilograms. The bodybuilder followed a 16,500 calorie diet and ate 7 meals a day.
The powerful athlete had an international reputation as a well-known figure in the field of fitness. Yefimchuk performed at events such as “La Fit Expo”, “Arnold Classic” in the USA, “BodyPower” in Great Britain and FIBO in Germany.
