The ante mortem offices set up by the National Police and the Civil Guard in collaboration with forensic doctors currently have 23 active files of disappearance reports in the province of Valencia by DANA.

This figure represents a decrease of nine active cases of disappearance compared to the previous day’s report, which is due to the increase in identifications among the deceased, the increase in reports and the location of missing people alive.

For its part, the number of deaths recorded since the emergency occurred on October 29, 2024, remains at 214, according to the statistical report with the historical accumulation of the Data Integration Center (CID), closed at 8 p.m. this Monday November. 11, 2024.

All of these deceased people have been autopsied and 211 of them are fully identified (166 by fingerprints, 42 by DNA and three by hospital identification while alive). Meanwhile, only three unidentified bodies remain.

As indicated by the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TSJCV), the two parameters, active disappearances and the total number of deaths, are different, so “in no case should they be added”.

He thus clarified that “the ante mortem files of missing persons which are active correspond exclusively to complaints where the relatives provided different data and provided biological samples in the ante mortem offices which allow the subsequent identification of their relatives” .

Compared to the report made 24 hours earlier, that is to say this Sunday, November 10, the number of deaths recorded and autopsies performed has not changed, but there are five new identifications of deceased people and nine fewer active disappearance files.

On the other hand, the morgue installed in Fira Valencia, where all the bodies are removed from the City of Justice once the autopsy has been carried out, has already carried out the effective delivery of 167 of their remains until 8 p.m. this Monday, the deceased have already identified themselves to their families so that they can carry out the funeral, which is 20 more than the total number recorded until yesterday.
