Netflix’s great warhorse has said goodbye to its audience with a fifth season that, although it continues to maintain its wonderful technical and narrative packaging, it is true that it has not been the best of all. Although it has glorious chapters, the truth is that this last installment of the fictional biography of Isabel II has been marked by stories that we all already know (the death of Lady Dithe romance between Guillermo and Kate Middleton…), we have therefore lost the surprise aspect and the didactic character of the first seasons. Yes, the Academy is awarding it for recognition of the series as a whole, not for its final episodes.
“The Golden Age”
Another incredibly luxurious series. A visual delight created by the father of the very famous Downton AbbeyJulien Fellowes. Max spent a fortune on a delicate and superb fiction that tells of the social differences within the wealthy class of New York in 1882. A feast for all the senses which, however, falls on a scenario in which blood runs in the river. A beautiful fiction which does not, however, transcend. It’s good that she’s nominated but she doesn’t have much luck.
“The Morning Show” (Season 3)
This could be one of the surprises of the evening. After an almost brilliant first season and a rather mediocre second, the great Apple TV+ series is reborn with a dazzling and very entertaining third opus. Jennifer Aniston And Reese Witherspoon They host ten chapters that denounce structural racism and the lack of impartiality of the media. It may not win the Emmy for best drama series, but it offers many possibilities in the acting sections.
“Mr. and Mrs. Smith”
It is the sequel to the famous film starring Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie in 2005, being nominated for an Emmy for best drama series is a surprise for many reasons. First, this Prime Video drama has more humor than, say, The bear and yet, the latter competes in the comedy category. Even with all Mr. and Mrs. Smith It’s a flawless product that probably won’t win but it already has an award just for getting there.

A perfect dystopian fantasy that adapts a famous video game but becomes narratively independent with a fascinating story and characters. “Slow horses”
Although it hasn’t made much noise – like almost everything on Apple TV+ – this series is pretty good. It’s not the best but it’s curious and fun. It’s now been running for four seasons and tells the story of a British MI5 officer, River Cartwright, who, after a failed training mission, is sent to what is called House of the Marais, an administrative purgatory for those who have been removed from office, known as Slow horses (“slow horses”). A tongue-in-cheek spy plot with a Gary Oldman wonderful. Do you have any possibilities? No.
“The Three-Body Problem”
This has been one of Netflix’s big bets for this season. A science fiction journey that oscillates between adventure and philosophy to debate what humanity’s first contact with an extraterrestrial species would be like. Behind it are two of the leaders of Game of Throneswhich means a lot of luxury and good development of the land. The fact that it is not nominated for more important awards does not augur well for a triumphant evening on the 15th.
