Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has declared victory in the debate over Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and therefore sees no need for a runoff.
He said it was an excellent debate. According to him, if the debate is won, there is no need to “go through the same thing again.”
“When you don’t win, it’s like in combat sports, when the fight was bad, the fighter was knocked out or lost, the first thing he says is: “We want a rematch.” We won the debate according to all the opinion polls. I don’t know if there will be a new round. I’ll think about it.” Trump told reporters.
