Chinese cars are compared with “Mercedes”, “BMW” and “Audi” in terms of quality

The JDPower agency has published a study on the satisfaction of Chinese customers with cars introduced on the Chinese market.

The average number of quality complaints increased from 204 cases per 100 vehicles (PP100) to 212 this year. The largest increase in complaints occurred for German brands (+21 PP100). The number of complaints about Chinese brands decreased by 10 PP100.

On average, BMW has 213 complaints per 100 cars, Audi and Mercedes have 215, and the segment average is 213. For Chery this indicator is 203, for Geely 204, for Changan 207. The segment average score is 211.

GAC-Honda, Dongfeng-Honda and GAC-Toyota joint ventures took the leading positions in terms of quality in the mass segment. As for purely Chinese companies, the top five were Chery, Geely, GAC, Changan and Jetour. At the bottom of the ranking were FAW Besturn, Haval and Venice.

In the premium segment, Porsche leads with a record PP100 score of 192, followed by Lexus (207) and Cadillac (211).
